Introducing the CoinGecko Oracle
We’re excited to announce that CoinGecko asset data is now available via DIA’s decentralised Oracle platform. With this move, DIA is expanding its data offers to include data aggregators for a variety of use cases.
One of the earliest and biggest crypto data aggregators
CoinGecko, founded in 2014, is one of the earliest and largest cryptocurrency data aggregators in the market, providing fundamental analysis of the crypto market. In addition to tracking price, volume and market capitalisation, CoinGecko also tracks community growth, open-source code development, major events and on-chain metrics. CoinGecko’s main objective is to elevate crypto participants’ understanding of fundamental factors that drive the market.
CoinGecko data now available via DIA
CoinGecko’s digital asset market data, which is currently accessible via CoinGecko’s API, is now accessible via DIA as an oracle. This opens another door for CoinGecko to provide their data directly to smart contracts, as these are not able to access external data standalone.
Initially, DIA will provide CoinGecko’s asset price data for the top 100 crypto assets. In its standard format, each asset’s data is updated sequentially in five minute intervals, with the option to customise the setup by increasing the data frequency as well as the amount of assets and breadth of asset data as required by any specific use case.
