As we celebrate the imminent launch of the Lumina mainnet, it’s the perfect moment to reflect on the journey of DIA oracles and look ahead to the bold future powered by Lumina. DIA’s journey began with a simple yet groundbreaking mission: to bring transparency to the opaque world of oracles. Our original stack, Nexus, launched on Ethereum Mainnet with a few hundred data feeds and introduced an unprecedented level of transparency to the market.

The 2020 brand radiated innovation and optimism, with vibrant, colorful visuals symbolizing data pipelines—a clear representation of our unique instance to data sourcing. Bright colors emphasized DIA’s goal to stand out in the early, crowded DeFi landscape, and the brand’s use of interconnected “pipes” signified the verification and processing of data streams.

Achievements:

• Built data feeds calculated directly from source trades on CEXs and DEXs, bypassing centralized API providers.

Our brand evolved to reflect this maturity: a professional, self-assured identity built on dark blues and neon accents. Dark blue symbolized reliability, trust, and professionalism, while neon elements evoked the vibrant energy and high throughput of DIA’s data engine. The rebranding introduced a “widget-like” UI aesthetic, which positioned DIA as a sophisticated, tech-driven platform.

• Expanded to over 20,000 data feeds, covering ERC-20, RWAs, NFTs, and more.
• Launched innovative tools such as the Oracle Builder, Bridge Attestation Oracle, and NFT Sales Tracker.
• Achieved adoption across 50+ chains and 200+ dApps, with a thriving ecosystem of developers and data users.

“Lumina” means light and brightness, symbolizing our commitment to illuminating the opaque and complex data ecosystems of Web3. Staying true to DIA’s original ethos, Lumina is a new oracle stack that addresses the critical issues of transparency with cutting-edge technological advances, symbolized by the most precise and advanced light: laser.

Much like laser beams—precise, consistent, and high-intensity—Lumina is powered by Lasernet, DIA’s native layer-2 rollup designed specifically for oracle execution. By processing data on-chain via immutable smart contracts, Lasernet ensures accurate and robust data delivery without requiring trust assumptions. Additionally, Lasernet provides high-speed data throughput with a block time of just 250ms.

Lumina’s architecture embodies trustless execution, built on cutting-edge technology that moves computation and calculation fully on-chain. Key components include:

• Layer-2 Rollup: Lasernet, a proprietary rollup leveraging the security of Ethereum, the most battle-tested blockchain for enterprise-grade applications.

Distribution, Decentralization 

Just as light emerges from a distributed ecosystem where energy is collected and transformed, DIA Lumina introduces an open ecosystem that gathers and processes data into oracle feeds that power applications. This decentralized ecosystem enables independent market actors to:

• Run Feeders: Anyone can start run a node to source on- and off-chain data and publish to the DIA Lasernet via the DIA Distributed Feeder Network.
• Deploy Oracles: Permissionless access enables any actor to deploy an oracle contract and consume oracle data.

• Mainnet Launch: Lumina is going live in 3, bringing for the first time fully on-chain, trustless oracle execution to the Web3 space. 
• Ecosystem Growth: With mainnet live, DIA will expand integrations, onboard new dApps and chains, and scale the Distributed Feeder Network globally.
• Staking Onboarding: Staking will soon open on Lasernet, enabling token holder to stake their DIA tokens to secure the Lumina architecture.
