Partnership with Aurora

Aurora is an Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) built on the NEAR Protocol, providing a solution for developers to deploy their apps on an Ethereum-compatible, high-throughput, scalable and future-safe platform, with low transaction costs for their users. Developers may enjoy familiar Ethereum tooling when working with their Solidity smart contracts on Aurora. The base fee of Aurora is ETH, which provides a smooth experience for dapps’ users. The features of the NEAR Protocol, such as delegated PoS consensus mechanism and dynamic resharding, allow unprecedented transaction speeds and scalability.

We are excited to announce DIA’s new collaboration and oracle integration into the Aurora and NEAR ecosystems. This joint project enables DIA to deliver its open-source oracle infrastructure to Aurora. This integration will facilitate DeFi applications to easily connect to the outside world data by simply plugging DIA’s trusted oracles into the smart contracts.

Thanks to Aurora’s EVM, Ethereum native applications can seamlessly be ported to Near’s L2-like network that is built as a smart contract on NEAR, where DIA will be able to feed them with accurate, reliable and transparent financial information. These price feeds will fuel a range of use cases, such as lending and borrowing protocols, collateral pools, options, derivatives, asset management and many more.

To do so, DIA provides dApps a reliable access to a broad set of DeFi and TradFi assets, simultaneously sourced at a very granular level directly from centralised and decentralised exchanges. This decentralised approach to data sourcing, unique in the oracle scene, provides highly accurate price points on-chain, while avoiding exposure to data manipulation.
