2024 in Review: Product Development
In 2024, DIA saw the integration of new data sources, ecosystem-specific oracle solutions, and most notably, the launch of DIA Lumina – a novel oracle stack powered by a layer-2 rollup.
DIA Lumina: The First Rollup-Enabled Oracle Stack
One of 2024’s key highlights was the launch of DIA Lumina, a completely redesigned Oracle stack built from the ground up. This new architecture focuses on maximizing decentralization and trustless execution while enhancing the utility of the native DIA token.
DIA Lumina comprises state-of-the-art modular components that use Lasernet, DIA’s native Ethereum layer-2 rollup, as its core settlement layer for critical data operations such as storage, computation, and verification.
Components, Features, and Benefits
Lumina’s modular architecture comprises components that source, store, compute, and deliver accurate, cross-chain price feeds for any asset while enhancing the utility of the DIA token. The features of these components and their benefits are described:
- Feeders: Nodes that fetch trade data directly from DEXs and CEXs, ensuring first-party data accuracy. They calculate prices per source and relay them to Pods at set intervals, maintaining real-time reliability.
- Lasernet: An Ethereum rollup at the core of the Lumina stack. By integrating staking incentives and zero-knowledge proofs, Lasernet ensures trustless execution while expanding the utility of the native DIA token.
- Pods: Smart contracts on DIA Lasernet that store price data securely on-chain, with a dedicated Pod for each Feeder. This setup ensures that price data remains accurate, timely, and easily accessible.
- Aggregators: Smart contracts that select data from Pods using customizable rules, producing a median price value. Multiple Aggregators can be tailored to different needs, offering flexibility and added security by benchmarking external data.
- Spectra: A cross-chain messaging integration that delivers oracle updates to any blockchain, streamlining deployment and removing the need for chain-specific configurations.
Rollout Milestones
DIA Lumina is being rolled out in phases. Here’s how far along the roadmap Lumina has come:

DIA Joined the League of Entropy Network
The League of Entropy (LoE) is a voluntary consortium of organizations working together to implement an unpredictable, bias-resistant, fully decentralized, and publicly-verifiable threshold cryptosystem designed to deliver distributed Randomness.
DIA joined drand’s League of Entropy alongside Protocol Labs, the Ethereum Foundation, IPFS, Gelato, Cloudflare, and more to contribute to the decentralization and immutable creation of verifiable, distributed randomness for Web3.
DIA had already integrated drand’s randomness beacon into DIA xRandom – the random number-generating oracle offering verifiable, unpredictable random numbers for dApps. The League membership means that DIA operates a node to strengthen the drand network.

Data Source Integrations
DIA’s key competitive advantage in the oracle space is its ability to source data directly from sources, bypassing the reliance on opaque third-party providers. This enables DIA to provide 100% source transparency, bespoke oracle solutions, and the ability to support any asset.
For token price feeds in particular, DIA directly sources and processes raw trade data of tokens across centralized exchanges (CEXs) and decentralized exchanges (DEXs). By integrating more CEXs and DEXs, DIA expands the number of supported assets and strengthens the resilience of existing ones.
In 2024, DIA integrated eight new data sources. Here are details about the new data sources, sorted by type.
Centralized Exchanges (CEXs)
Bitget Global
Bitget is one of the world’s leading crypto exchanges and the largest crypto copy trading platform. The BitGet exchange scraper allows DIA to fetch market trade data and build price oracles for all tokens traded on the CEX.
Decentralized Exchanges (DEXs)
Aerodrome
Aerodrome is designed to be Base’s central AMM and liquidity marketplace. Taking the playbook Velodrome invented and running it on Base, Aerodrome protocol is built to represent the latest in ve(3,3) technology. It combines a powerful liquidity incentive engine, a vote-lock governance model, and a friendly user experience. DIA’s integration with the exchange enables DIA to build price oracles for the tokens traded on the DEX.
Ramses Exchange
Ramses is a next-generation automated market maker (AMM) that combines Uniswap V3’s battle-tested framework with custom incentives and vote-lock governance. DIA’s integration with Ramses means that DIA can fetch price data for the 290+ tokens traded on the DEX on Arbitrum.
Nile Exchange
Nile Exchange is a cutting-edge DEX on Linea, designed to enhance liquidity provision with innovative tokenomics and reward systems. Through this integration, DIA sources real-time data from Nile Exchange’s smart contracts to create dependable price feeds for all listed tokens, including the native NILE token.
Maverick on Arbitrum
Maverick Protocol is a DeFi infrastructure provider focused on increasing industry efficiency, powered by the Maverick Automated Market Maker. DIA integrated the exchange as a data source to build price feed oracles for all tokens traded on the DEX on Arbitrum.
