2024 in Review: DAO and Community

DIA’s audience on all its communication channels grew in 2024, significantly signaling growth in its community strength.

On X (formerly Twitter), DIA achieved a 21% growth in followers with 10M+ total impressions, notable shares from leading projects, and active engagement from a growing number of key opinion leaders (KOLs).

DIA also solidified its position as a major key opinion and thought leader by hosting six different X Spaces series (dApps in Focus, Chains in Focus, Partners in Focus, Beyond the Chain, Bitcoin DIAlogues, and Rollup DIAlogues) with other industry leaders and ecosystem partners such as Stellar, Stacks, Telos, BOB, Ankr and more.

The total number of active community members on Telegram and Discord grew extensively, marking an increased interest and growing active community participation.

CrossFi Chain

The community partnership with CrossFi was launched with dedicated Zealy questlines from each party. 

CrossFi also featured DIA in its Partner Workshop where Dillon Hanson – Business Development Lead at DIA demonstrated DIA’s oracle solutions integrated into the CrossFi Chain. Leo Kahn – CMO at CrossFi also featured in the fifth episode of Beyond the Chain.

BEVM 

DIA DAO launched a Zealy quest campaign dedicated to BEVM – the first fully decentralized EVM-compatible Bitcoin L2 that uses BTC as Gas.

Community members completed social quests to earn Discord roles and compete for a share in a reward pool.

DIA DAO’s Zealy campaign also saw many other smaller collaborations with various active web3 communities. We’re looking forward to doing joint campaigns with many more projects in 2025.

The Luminati Club are community members spreading awareness about DIA Lumina through dedicated campaigns on Zealy, the top web3 questing platform. 

The Guardians of Lumina are DIA DAO members who staked DIA tokens in the Genesis Staking pool. The Guardians of Lumina will earn up to 30% APY for staking their DIA tokens early, fueling Lumina’s vision of secure, transparent, and decentralized oracle infrastructure.

Beyond helping to organize how community members spread awareness about DIA, the monthly community quests hosted on Zealy are a means for DIA DAO community members to contribute towards DIA’s growth social media growth while having fun and earning rewards as they compete for the top spots on the monthly leaderboard and USDC rewards.

As approved in GDP #015, 91,500 DIA tokens were eligible to be claimed by DIA token holders who voted for any DIA DAO proposal on Snapshot in 2023. The airdrop was a community-proposed initiative to compensate DIA DAO contributors for their governance and validation efforts.

The tokens were distributed evenly among the 142 wallets who voted in 2023, making each eligible wallet able to claim 644.366 DIA tokens. 

2024 laid a strong foundation for DIA’s growth and community engagement. With DIA Lumina’s mainnet deployment and onboarding in early 2025, the focus will be on empowering the community and scaling initiatives to redefine trustless data infrastructure for Web3.

DIA DAO will remain central to this journey, driving governance, collaboration, and innovation.
